The WALKING DEAD #159 Original Comic Art / Adlard Negan Zombie Horror DPS Splash

  

A herd-level group of zombies coming at an array of characters (including Dwight, Michonne, Jesus & Negan) is an awesome, rarely seen sight! The perspective of the zombies, the birds, and character expressions make the piece. Not to mention Negan drops a few F bombs!

There are roughly 20 or so, all or mostly all zombie double page splashes in the entire series, and they do not come up for sale. The proximity and sheer number of zombies, along with the character reactions, makes this a truly unique "grail" level piece of TWD original art. Charlie Adlard drew pencils and inks for the series from issue 7-114. Starting with Issue #115, Adlard drew pencils on one board, and the series took on Stefano Gaudiano as the new inker, drawing inks on a separate board. Each piece measures roughly 17" x 21".

The image area of the inked page is slightly larger than the image area of the penciled page, making the inked Gaudiano DPS interiors some of the largest TWD original art ever published. Both pieces are signed by the artists at the bottom.

I will have a few pieces of TWD art for sale, including this one, for a short time. Once one or two sell, the remaining pieces will be pulled and put back in my collection.
